1. Purpose of the service

Praepara is a personal digital tool made to help you think, remember, and prepare before the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Through short prompts and note fields, it offers a quiet space of preparation.

Praepara does not replace religious counsel, psychological care, medical advice, or the guidance of a priest. You use the app according to your own intention and judgment.

2. Your personal notes

You are responsible for the content and accuracy of the notes you write. It is important to keep your device’s security settings in good order so that notes are not shared with anyone you do not choose.

Praepara does not require you to create an account. Notes are kept locally on your device; the app does not upload them to servers or store them in the cloud. If you delete the app or reset the device, these notes may be lost.

3. Digital content and Premium

The prompts, texts, and preparation content in the app are digital materials offered for your personal use. You may not copy them, reproduce them commercially, or distribute them without permission.

Premium features are a yearly subscription that begins with a 1-week free trial. When the trial ends, unless you cancel, $2.99 a year is charged automatically to the relevant store account. The purchase is made through that store’s account and terms.

4. Payment and restoring purchases

Payments are processed through the Apple App Store or the other app store in use. Price ($2.99 / year), taxes, the 1-week free trial, and auto-renewal terms are shown by the store before you confirm. After a trial starts, payment is taken automatically when the period ends; you may cancel in the store settings at any time.

You can restore Premium access previously purchased by using “Restore purchases” on a device signed in with the same store account. Refunds and subscription management follow the rules of that store.

5. Limits of liability

Praepara is offered to support your personal preparation. Decisions, conversations, or actions taken on the basis of content in the app remain your responsibility.

We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or identical on every device. We cannot be held responsible for device failure, data loss, operating-system changes, or interruptions in app-store services.

6. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated if the service or applicable legal requirements change. Changes are published on this page with a new update date. Continuing to use the app means you accept the updated terms.
