Prepare for Confession in 10 Minutes

Praepara is a quiet examen for Catholics before Confession / the Sacrament of Reconciliation. A few honest questions. No account. No ads. No cloud. No AI. Your notes stay on this device.

An examen, not a script

Short questions help you notice what to bring to the priest. Praepara does not replace Confession or the guidance of a priest.

Notes stay on the device

There is no account and no cloud sync. What you write is stored only on your phone, and you can lock it with Face ID.

Ten quiet minutes

Begin, answer at your own pace, add a note if you want to remember something, and leave with a simple preparation card.

Optional full card

The free card shows the first three questions. The full card, PDF, and print are a yearly subscription: one week free, then $2.99 / year. Cancel anytime in your store settings.

How it works

  1. Begin.
A calm organ can play while you think. There is no rush.
  2. Answer a few questions.
Yes, no, or sit with this. Add a personal note for anything you want to remember at Confession.
  3. Take your card.
Review your answers, then go. Preparation in the presence of God.
